New Year’s Day: January 1, 2017: “Passwords”

Audio of the sermon from New Year’s Day, January 1, 2017, is available at this link.

The Scripture readings are Isaiah 63:7-9 and Ephesians 1:3-14.

“In Jesus, God came not to take, but to give. Not to demand that you achieve mysterious riches of knowledge or superiority, but to give himself to you as your own hope, to give you a place in his life through union with Christ. He doesnʼt demand riches of knowledge, but he lavishes his grace upon you. He isnʼt waiting for special gurus to give you mysterious wisdom and insight and an exalted vocabulary; he has already made known to us in Christ all the wisdom and insight and mystery you are ever going to need.”
